In the New York Times bestselling book GRIT, the author presents two simple equations on how to get from talent to achievement: talent x effort= skill, and skill x effort = achievement. In this presentation we will give an overview of the E4Effort System which reinforces and reports student effort in four categories. These effort metrics, when viewed in tandem with academic metrics, gives a more complete view of student progress. Having teachers consistently and authentically score student effort promotes Growth Mindset. In addition, the user may create multiple subcategories to provide focus for reporting PBIS metrics.
